There are two types of blowout preventers, namely annular blowout preventers and ram blowout preventers.

The ram blowout preventer is divided into single ram blowout preventer, double ram blowout preventer and triple ram blowout preventer, in which one pair, two pairs and three pairs of rams are installed to seal different pipe strings and empty wells.

Annular blowout preventer is also called multi-effect blowout preventer. When closing the well, the annular rubber core is evenly squeezed to the center of the wellbore, which has the advantages of high pressure bearing, reliable sealing, convenient operation and rapid opening and closing. It is especially suitable for sealing pipe strings of various forms and sizes, and can also completely seal wellheads.
